The side V logo is made of rubber and rice waste (22%). The inner lining is made of jersey (33% organic cotton & 67% recycled polyester). The insole is made from sugar cane (34%), Amazonian rubber (11%), organic cotton (11%) & recycled ethylene vinyl acetate (8%), and the outsole is made from 59% organic and recycled materials. These Veja sneakers are made in Brazil, in the Porto Alegre region.It is tanned in Brazil according to REACH standards. The use of water is justified during the tanning process. The tanneries that supply VEJA leather are L.W.G. Gold certified by the Leather Working Group, which promotes sustainable practices that have a positive impact on the environment in tanneries.
