In 1982 New Balance opened its first factory in the UK in Workington, 9 years later it moved to Flimby where models such as the 991, 1500, 576 and others have been produced ever since, making Flimby a household name for Made in UK sneakers in the scene. The latest model from New Balance, the Allerdale, is no exception. The name is based on the region in which the factory is located and has become part of the town. The Allerdale comes in high-quality thick leather that covers the entire shoe. The hiking-inspired aesthetic, a nod to Allerdale's natural landscape and outdoor activities, is evident in the D-ring eyelets and the traction pattern of the outsole.
